FAQs

Are there ID or minimum age requirements to enter the event?
No minimum age, but children 12 and under are expected to be chaperoned by a friend or family member with their guardian's permission.

What are my parking options for the event?
Due to the construction of a new Parking Garage adjacent to the City Center, the parking in 2020 will be different than in prior years. Please note the locations of Public Parking options here: 2020 Parking Map

What's the refund policy?
No refunds.

Do I have to bring my printed ticket to the event?
You can bring your printed ticket OR bring a scannable image of your ticket on your phone or smart device.

Is my ticket transferrable? Is it ok if the name on my ticket or registration doesn't match the person who attends?
Prior to admission, you are welcome to give your ticket to a friend or family member as you wish, but please be advised that giving someone copies of your printed ticket will not enable multiple entries. Each ticket sold through this website is individually serialized and is only good for a single admission. The first person to arrive with that ticket ID will get in. The subsequent person(s) will have to buy their own ticket.
NOTE: Admission tickets are exchanged for wristbands at the door. Wristbands are NOT transferrable.

Organizer

Northeastern Woodworkers Association

The NWA is a nonprofit membership organization, open without restriction to all who enjoy working wood; and want to get better at it. Formed in New York State's Capital District in 1991 for amateur and professional woodworkers of all ages, the NWA helps its members learn from each other and from outside experts, in a variety of ways. The association's aim is to provide a common meeting ground for lovers of woodworking who want to know more about wood and the techniques for forming it.

Monthly meetings (January, February, March, April, May, September, October, November, December) provide both structured presentations and opportunities for informal interaction among members. Each meeting features a talk by a member or guest speaker on a topic of general interest including tools and techniques, furniture design, finishing, shop jigs and fixtures, hand tool design and use, woods and materials, joinery methods, tips and projects.

In addition to the formal presentation, each regular meeting includes a Show and Tell period and a coffee break time to get acquainted and to use the NWA lending library. (One and two-day workshops and classes are held separately from regular meetings.) Meetings are held on the second Thursday evening in January, February, March, April, May, September, October, November, and December beginning at 7:00 p.m. at a Capital District location announced in Woodworker's News, the association's newsletter for members.
