Event description

Description

Thank you to our presenting sponsor, Amerigroup, and our supporting sponsor, Molina Healthcare!

WCAAP's Advocacy Day broadens the reach of your expertise beyond your practice and puts it into action to advocate for safer, healthier children in Washington.

Join us in Olympia on January 14, 2020 to:

  • Learn effective advocacy strategies
  • Hear from legislative champions about issues that affect children
  • Interact directly with policymakers
  • Share your experiences caring for children

Featured Speaker: Attorney General Bob Ferguson

We'll make the day as easy as possible - we will schedule meetings with legislators on your behalf, provide breakfast and lunch, and give you talking points and issue briefs to help you prepare for conversations with legislators. There is no charge to attend.

IMPORTANT: Please provide your home address when registering so that we can schedule meetings with legislators in your district. If you prefer to meet with legislators who serve the district your clinic is in, please provide your office address.

Support Advocacy Day - Get an AdvoCoat!
Whether you are able to attend or not, you can help support Advocacy Day by donating! Show your friends and colleagues that you support our work: donate $100 or more to our advocacy efforts, and we'll send you a WCAAP-branded "Advo-Coat" lab coat, with our logo embroidered on it! This is a great way to help us offset the costs and make sure Advocacy Day remains a free event for residents, physicians, and other pediatric providers throughout Washington.
