20/20 Vision for 2020
Making our Focus Clearer
This month we will focus on four of the nine principles of the Blue Zones lifestyle:
Plant Slant, Move More, Belonging and Purpose
We are very excited about the speakers! They are each sharing powerful suggestions in small amounts of time. Each of us will leave this discussion with some powerful tools for starting the new year with more clarity and commitment to make it our best year yet.
Chef Jeremy Miller is joining us for this event. Jeremy came to Augusta in 2016 as the executive chef for Champions Retreat and presently is the manager of The Southern Salad. Jeremy is a vegan chef and will encourage us in our efforts to incorporate a plant based diet into our lives (he will not insist that we become vegans but will do a demo and share some of his recipes for both a dessert and appetizer with us).
Jeremy has spent time in such notable kitchens as Jean-Georges in New York City and Thomas Keller’s French Laundry. And according to an AJC article September 6, 2016, Chef Jeremy Miller “helmed” the kitchen of American Food & Beverage in Buckhead and was the plant-loving chef who held a vegan pop-up called Herbivore at Cafe Sunflower.
Another special guest for the evening is Teena Marie from Ballroom in Motion! As we discuss the MOVE MORE portion of our program, Teena is going to each us ALL a fun line dance.
The details of the program are below along with the menu.
