The Virginia Council for Learning Disabilities Spring Symposium will be held at Old Dominion University on Saturday April 25, 2020.

About this Event

Join us for our annual symposium featuring High Leverage Practices for Student Success! VCLD is honored to host keynote speaker, Dr. Paul Riccomini. Following Dr. Riccomini’s presentation on High Leverage Practices (HLPs), there will be a panel session featuring specific HLPs :

Dwannal McGahee-Collaboration with Families (HLP 3)

Charles Hughes-Explicit Instruction (HLP 16)

Peggy King-Sears-Active Student Engagement (HLP 18)

Sarah McCarthy-Assistive and Instructional Technologies (HLP 19)

CJ Butler-Positive and Constructive Feedback (HLP 22)

The 2020 symposium will feature over 25 informative break-out sessions on current topics related to HLPs for all learners. This is an excellent opportunity to collaborate with current educators. Join us for a day of engagement and networking!
