Event description

Description

Each year, baseball friends and fans of all ages gather at the St. Paul Baseball Old Timers' Hot Stove League annual fundraising banquet -- to celebrate the great game of baseball, as well as relationships to which the game has led. (Proceeds benefit local youth baseball and other charitable organizations.)

As part of the Minnesota Twins' Winter Caravan, the Old Timers' Banquet is truly "Where Old Friends Meet!" Big league stars of today, yesterday and tomorrow are present, as well as sports celebrities of the Twin Cities ...

Being emceed by Minnesota Twins' radio personality, Dan Gladden, this year's head table will, once again, be loaded with notable speakers and guests, including past and present Twins front office staff, coaches, and players. Anticipated guests / speakers include Rocco Baldelli (Current Twins Manager), Thad Levine (Current GM), Randy Dobnak (RHP), Wes Johnson (current Pitching Coach), Dave St. Peter (President & CEO), Jerry Bell (retired President; Executive Committee Chairman), Jim Rantz (retired Director of Minor Leagues) -- along with John Anderson (Head Coach of the Minnesota Gophers), St. Paul natives Tim Tschida (retired American League umpire), and Carl Renalls (4th District American Legion Chaplain). TC Bear will also be in attendance!

This year's honored Older Timer, Daryl Olson (deceased), will also receive special recognition. In addition, the 2019 4th District American Legion MVP (Ben Nippolt of the North St. Paul 39ers) will be honored with the Klark-Killen Memorial Award.

A fabulous steak dinner will be served (including tossed salad, rolls & butter, potato, vegetable, dessert, coffee.)
(A vegetarian option is available; if needed, please notify
us ASAP through the CONTACT link at the bottom of this page, so that it can be arranged with the venue.)

  • Batting Practice (social hour) begins: 5:30 pm
  • Game Time (dinner and program): 7:00 pm
  • A Silent Auction, featuring a wide-variety of sports memoraibilia, will also be available as well.
  • An audience Question & Answer session -- along with a door-prize drawing -- will conclude the evening. All attendees may enter the FREE door-prize drawing at the registration table in the lobby upon arrival.

Please join us for this great evening, in celebration of America's game!
