2020 Rural Gives Challenge
Event Information
About this Event
At Dakota Resources, we are always working toward connecting capacity and capital to empower rural communities. And one way we can connect capital is to support rural philanthropy. As a part of South Dakota Gives's Day of Giving, we will be giving out prizes throughout the Day of Giving to create awareness, build relationships, and celebrate rural philanthropy. All rural South Dakota Economic Development Organizations (EDOs) are eligible to participate in our event. In order to compete for prizes, you must register for our event.
On the Day of Giving (December 1st), we will run five challenges throughout the day. All you have to do is complete your post on Facebook in the designated time frame on December 1st to be entered into the drawing for (5) $300 prizes. The challenges are listed below so you can plan what you want your post to be before the Day of Giving.
Challenge #1
What project have you recently completed in your community? In 1-2 sentences tell us about this project and the impact it had on your community. Get creative with your post!
Challenge #2
Who in your community goes the extra mile, lends a hand at every event, and goes above and beyond? We want to know who the changemakers and rural shapers are in your community. Share about an influential person in your community and use this moment to thank them for all they do.
Challenge #3
This has been a tough year for everyone. How have the small businesses and entrepreneurs lifted your community up? Celebrate a few businesses in your community that you couldn't live without.
Challenge #4
Every community is unique. We want to see what a thriving rural community looks like to you. Get out a piece of paper and doodle what you envision as thriving.
Challenge #5
The future of rural is here! Show us what the future of rural looks like in your community. Tell us what you're hoping to achieve in 2021 in a short :30 second video.
