The Retail & Luxury Goods Club at Harvard Business School invites you to join us for our 16th Annual Conference.

About this Event

2020 Vision: Retail and Luxury in the Next Decade on Sunday February 23, 2020 is hosted by the Retail & Luxury Goods Club, a student club at Harvard Business School, and sponsored by LVMH. Join us on campus at 9AM on Sunday for a day of fascinating discussions across the retail ecosystem: from brick & mortar to mobile-first, mass-market to luxury. Lunch will be provided. Students, professionals & those interested in the retail space are welcome to attend.

Our keynote speaker, Alexandre Arnault, CEO of Rimowa, will open our conference with a talk on the growing business of travel retail and its position in the modern retail landscape.

To follow are five panels on hot topics in the retail industry:

Consumer Insights: Leading industry consultants, advisers, and investors from firms including Silas Capital and TSG Consumer speak to changes in consumer behavior and trends to watch for in the retail space.

Innovating for Today’s Consumer: Entrepreneurs including Nell Diamond, Founder & CEO of Hill House Home, and Amy Shecter, Founder & CEO of Glamsquad, discuss the innovative products and services they have developed to meet consumers’ needs.

Rehabilitating the Brick & Mortar Model: Jean Andre Rougeot, CEO of Sephora Americas and peers discuss omnichannel business and the burgeoning trend of experiential retail.

Winning with Values: Founders & leaders from companies such as Re/Done (Sean Barron, Co-Founder & CEO), Gabriela Hearst (Gabriela Hearst, Founder & CEO), Clover Food Labs (Ayr Muir, Founder), Lo & Sons (Helen Lo, Founder), and ThredUP (Jenn Volk, Director of Product Mgmt) discuss sustainability and socially conscious initiatives that companies new and old are implementing to better resonate with their target market.
