Description

Welcome to the registration site for the 2020 Annual Conference of Pacific Northwest Region of the AAR and SBL, with ASOR as a program unit.

Cherished Friends and Respected Colleagues, we are looking forward to meeting you and learning together at our 2020 Regional PNW AAR & SBL Conference being hosted by St. Joseph's College at University of Alberta in Edmonton, Alberta, Canada from May 15 to May 17, 2020. Dean Shawn Flynn offers us this welcome:

St. Joseph’s College

Dear Colleagues,

It is my pleasure to welcome you to St. Joseph’s College at the University of Alberta.

As a scholar who has benefitted immensely from the PNW regional meeting in my own work, it is important that we continue to support the great work of our regional. I invite you to come and present your work, and hope you encourage others, and especially your students, to do the same.

We must continue to build healthy regionals that will support current scholars and future generations. This task becomes all the more important as the work of religious and biblical studies, and the needs for encouraging basic literacy on religious topics, is in desperate need in our Universities, Colleges, and in our world.

That is why it is my honour to invite the regional to St. Joseph’s College, at the University of Alberta. We have worked hard this year to provide an experience in which all sessions will be in close proximity, as well as close to meals and accommodations.

Please support me in encouraging this regional meeting of SBL-AAR to your colleagues.

We are excited to welcome you in May 2020.

Dr. Shawn W. Flynn
Vice President (Academic) and Dean
St Joseph’s College, University of Alberta.
