2020 OSR Bread Route Race 3
The third and final Bread Route Race for this year.
About this event
The inaugural OSR Bread Route Race (OSRBRR) on October 18th, 2018 was loosely based on my father's bread route from the family business back in the day. His route took us from Grant's Tomb, back into the LES. Since then, we have been designing races that are loosely based on this old family tradition. Each starting when the guys would have to show up to pick up their bread from the bakery at 2:00am.

My dad's sister met & married my Uncle Joey in Queens, back in the 1970's. When they started dating my grandfather had given him a job as a breadman, and as it turned out he drove a DiNoto's bread truck longer than anyone else. After the bakery closed in the late 1980's, some guys kept their routes (stores) and just bought their bread from other bakeries. For years my uncle kept the original DiNoto's insignia on the side of his truck as an homage to my Grandfather and the Family Business. As recently as 10 years ago you could still cross paths with an authentic DiNoto's truck somewhere in the middle of the night, on the streets of NYC. This route will be loosely based on his experiences as a DiNoto's breadman over the years.
