MARCH 31- APRIL 1, 2020

The 2020 NJCA Policy Forum is scheduled for March 31-April 1 in Arlington, VA  The event will be held at the Renaissance Arlington Capital View Hotel conveniently located near the Ronald Reagan Washington National Airport.  The Policy Forum will bring together Job Corps operators and stakeholders, administration and agency officials, industry partners and congressional representatives to discuss the pressing issues and opportunities facing the program. 

To kick-off the Policy Forum the NJCA has scheduled a congressional breakfast on Capitol Hill on Tuesday, March 31 at 8:00 a.m., while the rest of the day is reserved for Policy Forum attendees to attend meetings on their own. Our opening session will begin at 3:00 p.m. and will conclude at 5:00 p.m followed by our welcome reception. Wednesday, April 1, will be spent entirely at the Renaissance Capital View Hotel discussing policy issues and best practices with our colleagues at the U.S. Department of Labor (DOL).The Policy Forum registration and continental breakfast will open at 8:00 a.m. Sessions will begin promptly at 9:00 a.m. EDT and conclude at 5 p.m. Lunch and refreshments will be provided.  

Our tentiative schedule of activities for the week is as follows:

Tuesday, March 31   

  • 8:00 a.m. - 9:00 a.m. - Congressional Breakfast - 2044 Rayburn HOB
  • 9:00 a.m. - 2:00 p.m. - Hill Day
  • 2:00 p.m. - 3:00 p.m. - Registration Opens at Renaissance Arlington Hotel
  • 3:00 p.m. - 5:00 p.m. - Policy Forum Opening Plenary Session
  • 5:00 p.m. - 7:00 p.m. - Welcome Reception

Wednesday,  April 1

  • 8:00 a.m. - 9:00 a.m. -  Registration/Continental Breakfast
  • 9:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m. -  Policy Forum

The NJCA has a limited room block reserved at the Renaissance Arlington Capital View Hotel and the adjacent Residence Inn Hotel. 

  •  There are 2 options for reserving rooms under your room block: online or by phone.

National Job Corps Association

The National Job Corps Association, Inc. (NJCA) is a 501 (c) (6) professional trade association comprised of business, labor, volunteer, advocacy, academic and community organizations. NJCA was founded in 1998 by 38 charter member organizations consisting largely of the for-profit and non-profit contractors that operated the then 118 Job Corps centers around the nation.  Since 1998, the membership of the NJCA has more than doubled and grown to include employer and community partners.  By uniting these stakeholders, the NJCA has strengthened the Job Corps through government relations, grassroots education and outreach, informing national policy, and outreach campaigns that increase the visibility of Job Corps.
