Description

The Seattle Office of Arts and Culture provides funding support for artists, community groups and art organizations within the Seattle community to expand access to arts and culture for residents and visitors throughout our city. Join us for an infosession centered around our Neighborhood & Community Arts (NCA) and Arts in Parks (AIP) funding programs. We’ll be discussing both programs at each the infosession; Attendance is free, but RSVP requested but not required so that we can prepare enough materials for attendees.


NEIGHBORHOOD & COMMUNITY ARTS

Seattle offers an extraordinary array of arts and cultural events throughout its diverse neighborhoods. The Office of Arts & Culture’s Neighborhood & Community Arts (NCA) Program supports creativity at a grassroots level by investing in recurring festivals or events that promote arts and cultural participation, celebrate diversity, build community connections, and enhance the visibility of neighborhoods and cultural communities through arts and culture. This program provides $1,300 each year for events happening in 2020 and 2021.

ARTS IN PARKS

The Office of Arts & Culture is partnering with Seattle Parks and Recreation to increase arts and community events in parks throughout the city. The Arts in Parks Program is an opportunity for the city to invest in the vibrant cultural work being done in and by diverse communities throughout Seattle. This program provides up to $7,800 in funding for eligible events in 2020 taking place is eligible City of Seattle managed parks.
