Join our nation's teacher leadership community at the 2020 National Teacher Leadership Conference:

Creating a 2020 Vision: Revolutionizing Education,

hosted by the National Network of State Teachers of the Year (NNSTOY).

Are you ready to deepen your enthusiasm and commitment to our students? Do you want to collaborate with colleagues learn new best practices? This year's conference will push you to challenge the status quo and connect you with changemakers to revolutionize education. Educators and school leaders from across the globe will unite to collaborate on three promising practices:

  1. DIVERSITY IS THE NORM, EQUITY IS THE WAY

  2. UNLEASHING LEADERSHIP

  3. LEARNER CENTERED INSTRUCTIONAL PRACTICES


You will have the freedom to design your own teacher leadership experience based on three tracks: classroom practice, supporting teachers, and policy and advocacy.

July 7: Pre-Conference

Coffee, followed by a variety of professional development options* to best fit your practice. Attend a Masterclass or Partner Institute. Paid focus groups with conference sponsors (by sign up) in the afternoon. Welcome reception with open bar and appetizers in the evening.

July 8: Day of Motivation and Service

Breakfast, followed by provocative and motivating TED-Style talks from thought leaders calling you to action facilitated by NNSTOY members. Enjoy a picnic lunch, on the University campus then engage in a service project with your peers. Reception with open bar and appetizers in the evening.

July 9: Unleashing Leadership / Diversity is the Norm, Equity is the Way

Breakfast, lunch, and networking happy hour. Deep-dive into two promising practices. Each section begins with a keynote session followed by breakout sessions (you will have a choice of 6). Breakout sessions will be divided into three tracks: classroom practice, supporting teachers and policy and advocacy.

July 10: Learner-Centered Instructional Practices

Breakfast and lunch included. Deep-dive into the final promising practice beginning with a keynote. Breakout sessions are divided by grade band (Pk-2, 3-5, 6-8, 9-12+). Synthesize your learning and collaborate with colleagues during the Unconference after lunch.



OUR VENUE

The Graduate Minneapolis is nestled in the heart of the University of Minnesota's campus. The Graduate is pet-friendly, offers a Topgolf Swing Suite, Peloton bikes in the gym, and a bar and restaurant. It is easily accessible to Minneapolis or St. Paul.

OUR REGISTRATION FEES

Exclusive access for NNSTOY members from January 1-15.

There will be a limited number of early bird registrations for NNSTOY members for $300. After those tickets are purchased, all registrations and general admission tickets are $350.

Registration fee includes the following food and beverage (a $500 value):

  • 3 hot breakfasts
  • 3 lunches
  • 2 breaks with refreshments
  • 2 receptions with open bar and heavy hors d'oeuvres
  • 1 happy hour with open bar and passed hors d'oeuvres

OUR MASTERCLASSES

A 3-hour deep-dive into a tried and true best practice with strategies to take with you, created and facilitated by a member of NNSTOY. Limited, 15 people/class, $99. You will receive a Certificate of Participation for 3 hours

*Masterclasses will be posted in February.

PRECONFERENCE DAY: OUR PARTNER INSTITUTES

A 3-hour deep-dive workshop hosted by one of NNSTOY's partners, free of charge! You will receive a Certificate of Participation for 3 hours.
