Building community connections among faith, community and behavioral health organizations for access to mental health care.

About this Event

The 2020 Mental Health Summit will bring our community together in unique ways and on a virtual platform.

This event will bring together faith and community stakeholders, behavioral health professionals and civic servants to discuss common concerns about accessing mental health care and ways to work together to support mental health consumers, their families, and caregivers.

Attendees will learn about:

● Access to care and support, mental health consumers, caregivers and families

● Connections and referral protocols with community programs and mental health providers that support individuals and families and promote resilience and healing

● Resources and information to engage, and train faith and community leaders about the signs and responses for mental health, suicide prevention, and substance abuse

● Opportunities for faith and community organizations to welcome and integrate mental health consumer, support social inclusion, and decrease stigma and discrimination

● Linking faith and community leaders to Mental Health Professionals to increase the awareness and perceptions of mental health, recovery and wellness in diverse racial and ethnic communities

Celebrity Guest Presenter Melanie Pratt, Praise 100.9 Charlotte On-Air Personality and three time Stellar Award nominee for Gospel Announcer of the Year, will be presenting the “Champion For Mental Health Awards.
