Event description
The 2020 West Virginia Media Arts & Design Festival (MAD Fest) will take place at West Liberty University on Friday, April 17, 2020 .

About this Event

The 2020 West Virginia Media Arts & Design Festival (MAD Fest) will take place at West Liberty University on Friday, April 17, 2020 from 9:00am to 2:00pm. It will be a day filled with workshop sessions, professional presentations, and a student media arts competition awards ceremony. Students from West Virginia, Pennsylvania and Ohio are expected to participate this year. There is no cost to attend MAD Fest and lunch will be provide for all participating students and teachers.

Because of the high level of interest in the Festival, registration is limited to a maximum of 25 students per high school. The available spaces will be filled on a first-come, first-serve basis. In past years, we have had to close registration and start a waiting list due to the popularity of the event.

All schools must first pre-register, using this Eventbrite link, in order to receive the link for students to select their workshops for MAD Fest. We ask that only one teacher per school complete the pre-registration process and serve as the contact for the group. More than one teacher per school may attend MAD Fest with the students.

If you have any questions about registering your school for the Media Arts & Design Festival, please contact Lou Karas, who is responsible for group registrations, at lkaras@westliberty.edu or 304-336-8162.

Registration for the Media Arts & Design Festival is separate from the MAD Fest Competition. Schools and students participating in the Competition are not automatically registered for the Festival. Please contact Dr. Matthew Harder, MAD Fest Director, at madfest@westliberty.eduwith any questions or for additional information about the Competition.
