Event Details

General info
Please join us for our Inaugural CISMA Conference. We will provide technical training, share some of the latest research on impacts of invasive species, particularly plants and insects, provide an overview of the Terrestrial Plant Rule (which becomes enforceable April 2020), and more. The conference is expected to draw 300 attendees.

Who should attend?
Anyone with a personal or professional interest in invasive species: CISMA representatives, park professionals, land managers, foresters, arborists, contractors, farmers, landscape professionals, etc.

The purpose of the conference is to:

  • Increase knowledge of invasive species – from ID to management,
  • Promote land management and design that focuses on avoidance of invasive species and the increased use of native species,
  • Generate an appreciation of our native natural resources.

While the conference pertains to invasive species management, the goal of the conference is to build partnerships across the state that exchange information, and build opportunities for interaction to increase capacity for restoration and conservation.

Want to help out at the conference? After you register, fill out the volunteer sign up form here

Sponsorship opportunities are available for businesses and organizations who would like to support the conference and/or have a vendor table to connect with attendees.  Sponsorship levels and benefits can be viewed HERE.
