Event description
Welcome to the 2020 IDHA Annual Conference, our Inaugural Virtual Conference!

About this Event

Dear Attendees,

It is with pleasure that I invite you to the Indiana Dental Hygienists’ Association 74th Annual Conference and General Assembly. When I was installed as President in November of 2019, choosing “Our Vision is 2020” as my theme, I never imagined our next Annual Conference would be held virtually. However, we as hygienists are resilient, resourceful, and committed to doing the best we can in every situation.

Please join your colleagues via Zoom on Saturday, November 7, 2020. During this one-day virtual event, Kathy Nahrwold will present the Dental Ethics & Jurisprudence course required for licensure. A vendor’s hour will provide updates on the newest and best products and services for our practices. There will be three concurrent breakout sessions: a networking hour for students, a networking hour for Component leaders, and an hour for Q&A with the Vendors who presented updates on their products and services earlier in the day. IDHA will hold the annual business meeting at which time you will hear updates on this year’s legislative accomplishments, members will vote on policy changes and new leaders will be elected and installed.

Although I will miss seeing each of you in person, I am excited to be involved in the innovative technology that COVID-19 has forced all of us to embrace! IDHA will hold a “mock” General Assembly (GA) on Saturday, October 10, 2020, to practice. There will be more information forthcoming.

Please plan to attend both the “Mock GA” and the entire 2020 IDHA Virtual Annual Conference from the comfort of your own home. Looking ahead, mark your calendar for the IDHA 75th Annual Conference, November 12-13, 2021, at the Fort Harrison Garrison Conference Center in Indianapolis where we plan to all be together again in person.

Respectfully,

IDHA President Sheli Taulbee
