Event description
2020 IICL GRiT Camp

About this Event

Join us for 4.5 days and 4 nights of fun and mountain bikes with an all-female cast of NICA coaches to build skills, moxie, and community in a supportive, encouraging environment.

You’ll ride, hike, swim, practice skills, sing around the camp fire, get crafty, do some yoga, eat awesome meals, and chill in the woods with old and new mountain biking friends. All at one of the coolest camp locations in the state...MOSS.

Who

The camp is for girls in grades 6 through 12 (as of Fall 2020). There is something for riders of all levels. Some groups will be focused on riding bikes for fun and others may work on developing skills to race. Even if you're new to mountain biking, come to the camp to learn from trained coaches.

We are also looking for adult female chaperones (must be at least NICA Level 1 coach licensed) to help with the camp in exchange for food and lodging. Duties would include hanging with the campers in the evenings so that our hard-working coaches can have some down-time after a busy day on the bikes.

What

4.5 days filled with group rides, off-bike social activities, hiking, and great bonding experiences with other female NICA students and coaches from across the country.

Campers will work with coaches to refine their riding skills and explore the epic trails with guided group rides each day at camp.

Registration fees include:

- All meals starting Saturday dinner through Wednesday lunch

- Experience-level specific coaching from NICA licensed coaches

- Guided rides

- Social activities

- Summer camp style lodging accommodations (cabins with bunk beds)

Optional Transportation Add-On

- Round trip transportation from Boise to McCall

Where

The 2020 Idaho GRiT camp is being hosted at the McCall Outdoor Science School (MOSS) at Ponderosa State Park in McCall. Known as one of the favorite camps in the state in a spectacular setting on the shore of Payette Lake, MOSS sits on 14-acres with nearby access to hiking/biking trails, swimming and Payette National Forest.

Campers will enjoy daily trips to some of the nearby trail networks such as Brundage Mountain Resort, Jug Mountain and Bear Basin.
