6:00 PM - Dinner at Lefty’s Bar and Grill

We will gather together after everyone’s arrival and enjoy some local brews, and pub fare on Lefty’s outdoor patio.

Fly Fishing

We have two options for fly fishing: One professionally guided (prices below) or fishing with Mike and Garrett (cost of equipment rental) Those that select Silver Creek Outfitters will be guided by Master Casting instructors who will tailor the fly fishing experience for each skill level - from beginner to expert. They will learn how to catch fish independently and enjoy beautiful scenery on the Big Wood River.

Outdoor Ice Skating

On the ice, the Sun Valley Outdoor Ice Rink has some of the best views in the valley. One of the few year-round outdoor ice rinks in the country.

Horseback Riding

Sun Valley Stables

Sun Valley’s legendary Western heritage is no better experienced than with a visit to the fabled Sun Valley Stables and Western Horseman’s Center. Trail rides are fun for the entire family, from the beginner to experienced rider.

Trail Ride at Galena Stage Stop Corrals

Ride through towering pines into the old historic mining area at the town site of Galena. Be taken back by breath taking views of wide open spaces, beautiful streams and the wildlife around you. Galena Lodge is nearby for refreshment and meals.

Rides begin at 9 am, 11 am, 1 pm and 3 pm daily

Cost: 1.5 hour Ride: $60 Per person (6 yrs and up)

6:30 PM: Picnic Dinner & Sun Valley Symphony

Pack a picnic dinner and sit on the grass at Sun Valley’s outdoor amphitheater and listen the Sun Valley symphony concert. This will be livestreamed. Hailed by The Times as “the most astounding pianist of our age,” Daniil Trifinov is the New York Philharmonic’s “artist in residence” and will debut in Sun Valley, performing one of the most-loved concertos ever written, Brahms’s Piano Concerto No. 1. Brahms started this “burst of pure, utter, natural genius” when he was 20 and completed it at the ripe old age of 25.

Alternative Picnic Dinner

Because of social distancing, reservations for the Symphony are being taken on the morning of for pods of up to six people. If we are not able to secure reservations for four pods-of-six, we will have a picnic dinner at Rotary Park.

7:50 am - Depart Ketchum - White Water River Rafting

White Otter River Rafting will host our guided trip in what will be a memorable day of whitewater rafting on the scenic Salmon River. We will enjoy class II and III rapids, soak in the scenery of the river canyon, with an experienced and knowledgeable guide. A morning on the river is sure to be one of our most memorable days of the summer.

This activity requires that all participants sign a waiver. Signing their electronic waiver greatly simplifies our check-in process, while also supporting their efforts in going paper-free! Please take a couple minutes and sign/submit this Digital Release Form directly to White Otter. Thank you!

Cost: $97 for adults (includes guide tip)

Meet at 9:20 am at Sunbeam Village, Stanley Idaho

Lunch & Afternoon - Free

We will return to Sunbeam Village areound 12:30 pm. Lunch options in Stanley include Stanley Baking Co. which has terrific coffee, baked goods, and breakfast/lunch offerings (closes at 2 pm); Papa Brunee's for pizza and Italian subs; and the Lakeside Grill which is an outdoor cafe serving burgers, sandwiches and fish tacos by the shores of Redfish. Redfish Lake Activities include something for everyone. We will have the afternoon free to hike, rent bicycles, hang out on the lake shore, canoe, paddleboat, or explore the Stanley area. Mike will have his RV parked nearby to serve as a home base.

6:00 PM - Dinner at Redfish Lake Lodge


Redfish Lake Lodge sits at an elevation of 6,550 feet above sea level, where the water is crystal clear and the beaches are sandy. Redfish Lake Lodge thrives on the North shore of the pristine, glacier-carved Redfish Lake. Lodge dining provides true Idaho mountain comfort food. The lake views and rustic lodge atmosphere will make this a memorable dining event after a day of river rafting.

11:00 AM - Depart to Baker Lake Trailhead/Picnic Lunch at Lake

Hike the Baker Lake Trail which is an easy 3.6 mile round-trip trek to beautiful Baker Lake. This is a hike for all skill levels and is used for hiking, walking, nature trips, and bird watching. We will enjoy a picnic lunch (provided) at the top.

We will gather for our final dinner at the family-owned Ketchum restaurant that features delicious authentic Thai dishes and house specialties like Honey Duck, Curries, Shrimp in Ceramic Pot and Sizzling Beef.
