Be part of growing community self-reliance in our local food system and increasing sustainable gardening, gleaning, farming and foraging in the Palouse-Clearwater region. Listen to Ignite! presentations, participate in community round tables, enjoy local food tastings, and help create a vision and actionable steps for growing our local food system! Round table sessions will focus on your next steps for increasing sustainable food production and food access on the Palouse.

Pre-registration is required by January 27. Register early! The past two Food Summits have had over 135 participants! Check-in begins at 8:30 am; the program will start at 9:00 a.m. Registration is on a sliding scale and includes a catered lunch. A limited number of need-based scholarships are also available. Download the form to apply for a scholarship.

As part of this year's Food Summit, we will be collecting nonperishable donation items for our local food banks, and a hygiene drive that will benefit migrant farm workers in Idaho and Washington. Hygiene items that migrant farm workers need most include sunscreen, feminine hygiene products, hand sanitizer, hand sanitizing wipes, first aid supplies (band-aids, Neosporin-like cream, etc.), and lip balm that contains SPF. Please consider contributing to this year's foodbank and migrant farm workers hygiene drive.

The Palouse-Clearwater Food Summit is hosted by: the Palouse-Clearwater Food Coalition, University of Idaho Extension, WSU Center for Civic Engagement, Whitman Community Action Center, and the Moscow Food Co-op.

Many thanks to our sponsors for making the 2020 Summit possible with both monetary and in-kind donations. Sponsors include Idaho Central Credit Union, Idaho Ice, Monarch Motel, SCORE, Maialina Pizzeria Napoletana, Sangria Grille, PNW Farmers Co-op Specialty Foods, Vandals Dining, Avista, Equal Exchange, Latah Sanitation, Inc., Tri-State Outfitters, Moscow Chamber of Commerce and numerous community members and volunteers.
