Come join the MCH Nutrition Leadership Training Program for a policy seminar on the 2020-2025 Dietary Gudelines for Americans with Angie Tagtow, MS, RD, former Executive Director of the USDA Center for Nutrition Policy and Promotion and Lorrene Ritchie, PhD, RD, Director of the Nutrition Policy Institute, University of California Division of Agriculture and Natural Resources.

According to the USDA, the 2020-2025 edition of the Dietary Guidelines for Americans will take a lifespan approach and include new nutrition guidance for pregnant women, infants and toddlers up to 2 years of age, and those older than 65 years. Panelists will highlight the process for developing the Dietary Guidelines, the role science plays with informing the Dietary Guidelines, actors and stakeholders engaged in the development process, and strategies we need to take to preserve and protect a significant investment in Americans’ health.

Learn about the latest research on feeding practices for infants and toddlers. Results from the WIC Infant and Toddler Feeding Practices Study will be presented and new guidelines on how best to feed infants and toddlers will be shared.
