Please join YSEA for a gala evening of fun and fellowship as we recognize eminent faculty, alumni, and students for their achievements and their contributions to the Yale science and engineering community!

The evening will begin at 6:00 PM with a Cocktail Reception at the Graduate Club. Seating will begin at 6:45 PM, with dinner served promptly at 7:00 PM.




In addition to outstanding undergraduate scholars and grantees, this year’s honorees are:

Michael Gold ’60 BS, M.Eng. — Distinguished Service to Industry, Commerce or Education

  • Michael Gold is the Founder & President of Gold Metallurgical Services, LLC and is a Former Principal Engineer at Babcock & Wilcox Power Generation

Daniel Prober, Ph.D. — Advancement of Basic and Applied Science

  • Daniel Prober, Ph.D. is Professor of Applied Physics, Physics and Electrical Engineering with a focus on experimental solid-state physics and superconductivity.

Brian Scassellati, Ph.D. — Meritorious Service to Yale University

  • Brian Scassellati, Ph.D. is Professor of Computer Science, Cognitive Science & Mechanical Engineering and the Director of the NSF Expedition on Socially Assistive Robotics.




Note: This year’s dinner will be preceded by an optional 4:00 PM tour of Yale’s Wright Lab. Online registration is available for the tour.
