Description

Please join us on May 4th at 11 am for a 1 1/2 hour ranger-led nature hike and presentation at Woods Bay State Park. Park Ranger Regina Huff will give a brief presentation about the possible theories behind a Carolina bay’s formation, Woods Bay’s four main habitats, and the surrounding communities’ collaboration that prevented Woods Bay’s destruction at Nature Center. Later, she will lead guests on a nature hike to Woods Bay’s Boardwalk and Mill Pond Trail. Please bring bug repellent, water, sunscreen and suitable walking shoes for the nature hike. The meeting place is at Woods Bay’s Nature Center at 11 am. When you enter the park, it's the first building on the left next to the parking area. A link to the park map is listed below.
