Register Now for the 1st Annual Tourette Connections Conference!

This FREE conference is designed for families living with Tourette Syndrome and associated concerns such as obsessive-compulsive disorder, learning and attention issues and anxiety. This event is designed to expose you to new ideas about managing Tourette Syndrome and what will help someone with Tourette Syndrome to thrive. This conference is appropriate for family members, professionals and friends.

Choose from two tracks- an adult track, suitable for those who are interested in learning in a lecture format (schedule detailed below), or a youth track which will include swimming (lifeguard provided), Sarah Reed, from Rogers InHealth, providing activities from “It's Up to Me”, an interactive experience with the Mars Rover, provided by Marleen Sundgaard, from NASA, and spending time with Tourette Syndrome Camp USA Staff.

10:15 am - 11:15 am: Up to Me: A Decision Making Framework for Making Choices About Sharing our Challenges and Resilience - Presented by: Sarah Reed, PhD, Honest Open, Proud Lead, Rogers InHealth

11:15 am - 12:00 pm: Sample Youth Ambassador Presentation - Presented by Emily and Katie Shelby, Wisconsin Youth Ambassadors

12:00 pm - 12:45 pm: Lunch

12:45 pm - 2:00 pm: Habit Reversal for Children with Tic Disorders - Presented by: Douglas Woods, PhD, Vice Provost for Graduate and Professional Studies and Dean of the Graduate School, Professor of Psychology, Marquette University

2:00 pm - 3:15 pm: Treatment of Tic Disorders and Other Repetitive Behaviors - Presented by: John T. Walkup, M.D., Chair, Department of Psychiatry, Ann and Robert H. Lurie Children's Hospital of Chicago, Professor of Psychiatry, Northwestern University Feinberg School of Medicine

3:15 pm - 3:30 pm: Break

3:30 pm - 5:00 pm: Unlocking the Mystery of IEP Success, Key Information to Improve Outcomes - Presented by Shari Meserve, M.S.Ed., Ed.S, School Psychologist at Lake Bluff Elementary School
