Description

TaWaSi Antiques and Vintage Show is an invitational show featuring over 48 dealers throughout the South. Antiques and collectibles vary depending on dealers but usually include furniture, silver, depression glass, porcelain, books, linens, vintage furniture, estate and costume jewelry, dolls, maps, papers, rugs, vintage clothing, paintings, folk art, tools, guns, china, garden items, quilts, pottery, vintage jewelry, and home decor. Glass repair and restoration are also available. There is something for everyone at every price point. The show is held yearly in the Warren J. Harang Jr. Municipal Auditorium on the Friday, Saturday, and Sunday after Labor Day.

Is the venue handicap-accessible?

Yes, Warren J. Harang Jr. Municipal Auditorium is handicap-accessible.


How large is the facility?

The facilty consists of two large rooms which are filled with antique dealers. The Arena is approximately 200 feet by 90 feet, and the Plantation Room is approximately 100 feet by 60 feet. Is an ID required to enter the event?

A valid driver's license or photo ID is required upon each entry.


Is the event open to all ages?

The event is open to all ages, but small children are discouraged due to the many breakable items. Each antique dealer has his or her own policy concerning valuables broken.

Children in strollers are admitted for free.


Can RVs park at the site?

What are my transport/parking options in getting to the event?

Parking is free and available at the Warren J. Harang Jr. Municipal Auditoruim. A covered entrance is available for drop off, in the case of inclement weather.


What can/can't I bring to the event?

No outside food or drinks are allowed. Food and drinks are available for purchase.

Bring a sweater/jacket as it tends to be cold in the Auditorium.


Is my registration/ticket transferrable?

A ticket is valid for only one person for all three days and is not transferrable once it has has been assigned to a name or number upon initial entry. All tickets will be validated, and each ticket holder must present a valid photo ID or driver's license upon each entry.


Do I have to bring my printed ticket to the event?

If you purchase a printed ticket and pay by cash/check, then the printed ticket will be required upon entry. If you purchase an electronic ticket at the door using a debit/credit card, then the electronic ticket must be accesed via a mobile device with a valid email address. If you purchase an electronic ticket on our website using a debit/credit card, you can either print the electronic ticket at home or access the ticket via a mobile device with a valid email address. Regardless of which way your ticket is purchased, all tickets will be verified with a photo ID or valid driver's license upon each entry. A single ticket is valid for the same person for all three days.


The name on the registration/ticket doesn't match the attendee. Is that okay?

The name on the ticket must match the attendee's name or number and will be verified by a driver's license or photo ID upon each entry.


What is the refund policy?

Since we are a non-profit organization, we are not able to offer refunds.


What types of payments are accepted by the antique dealers and caterer?

Each dealer determines what type of payment he or she will accept. Typically most accept cash and credit cards. Some may accept checks. You should be prepared with all types of payments.

Our on-site caterer accepts cash and debit/credit cards.


What type of food is available for purchase?

Our on-site caterer serves typical Cajun fare. Past years' food choices have included crab cakes, gumbo, potato salad, fried fish, poboys, salads, red beans and rice, desserts, water, coffee, tea, and soft drinks.

In addition, many off-site restaurants are in close proximity to the venue.

What are the Show Dates, and Times?

The show starts on the Friday after Labor Day, and runs through Sunday. A ticket is good for all three days once purchased, and veirified by a valid Drivers License or Photo ID. The hours are as follows:

Friday and Saturday 10 AM to 5 PM

Sunday 10 AM to 4 PM
