Event description

Description

The USF Music Technology Program will be hosting a summer academy for high school students (Grades 9-12). There will be a different theme/focus each day. Each daily session costs $30 and students may choose to participate in multiple sessions during the academy. The sessions will run from 1:00-4:00 PM.


Working Inside the Recording Studio - Monday, June 17


Become familiar with the recording studio and learn how to make sure you are getting the best out of your recordings.

Working with Film and TV - Tuesday, June 18


Get hands-on experience learning how sound effects, Foley and ADR are created within film and TV. Students will create their own dialogue, sound effects and foley for picture.

Music Production - Wednesday, June 19


Spend a day learning modern music production techniques. Students will work with industry tools and learn how they can create music in different genres, such as pop, rock, hip-hop and EDM.

Applied Techniques - Thursday, June 21


This session is the culminating experience from the entire week. Students will work in the studios and learn how all the individual pieces of a recording studio, post-production studio and music production come together in a hands-on experience that will have students working with state-of-the-art equipment and industry tools.
