Event description


Build on your classroom STEM experience using coding, robotics, 3D printing, and application/problem/project-based learning to deepen the relevancy of STEM through integration. Participants will use disciplinary literacy teaching and learning strategies to solve real-world problems. Explore and learn with your colleagues in fun and meaningful ways.


Session One: Integrated Math and Science

Participants will use the mathematical practice standards and science and engineering (crosscutting) concepts, as they experience hands-on learning providing a context for engaging in STEM in meaningful and challenging ways. Be prepared to get a little dirty, work with your peers, collect data and solve the world’s problems.

Session Two: Integrated Technology and Engineering

Participants will use and manipulate technology in engineering design challenges that cross the curriculum. Work with your peers to create, design and put your ideas to the test in this very collaborative, highly challenging and tremendously fun problem-solving day!


Both sessions are being offered at each location:

(1) USC Salkehatchie East, 807 Hampton St, Walterboro, SC 29488 - Bldg/Room: Science 120

  • TUESDAY, JULY 23, 10 am - 3 pm: Integrated Technology and Engineering

  • WEDNESDAY, JULY 24, 10 am - 3 pm: Integrated Math and Science

(2) Berkeley CSD, Men Riv ED Park 1 Men Riv Dr, Goose Creek, SC 29445 - Rooms: 204 & 206

  • TUESDAY, JULY 23, 10 am - 3 pm: Integrated Math and Science

  • WEDNESDAY, JULY 24, 10 am - 3pm: Integrated Technology and Engineering

Additional Details

  • Sessions start at 10 am and end at 3 pm, with an hour break for lunch.

  • Lunch is on your own.

  • Each session is $50/participant

  • Each day participants will participate in a preK-8 general session followed by differentiated grade level break-outs.

  • Our facilitators tailor each session to maximize your learning experience.

  • All materials and handouts will be provided.

  • Participants will receive a certificate of completion after the session - 4/hours per day,

You will have the option to choose a payment method of credit card, check, or invoice. If you select "pay by check" you will receive instructions in your confirmation email on sending payment, we will NOT send you an invoice. If you select “pay by invoice” an invoice will be emailed to the buyer to remit payment upon receipt.

Changes to Registration

You have until Friday, July 5th at 5 pm to make any changes to your registration. If you are unable to attend, you may transfer your registration to another participant. Refunds are only offered if a session does not meet the minimum of 12 participants. There is a maximum of 24 participants per session. If you register for a session that is over capacity, you will have the opportunity to switch to another group or receive a refund.
