Event Details

The non-profit, Asians and Pacific Islanders with Disabilities of California (APIDC) cordially invites you to our 2019 Statewide Disabilities Conference at the Disney’s Grand Californian Hotel and Spa on March 8-9. The upcoming conference will be a special opportunity to connect Asians and Pacific Islanders with physical, mental and developmental disabilities to service providers, community organizations and elected officials. This will be our seventh state-wide conference. APIDC celebrates its 20th anniversary in 2019, a non-profit dedicated to promoting disability awareness, reducing stigma, and exploration of strategies to support the hard-to-reach, fast-growing Asian Pacific communities. Topics will include civil rights, college supportive services, community outreach, benefits, mental health, transition to adulthood and special education. See Conference Schedule below for session descriptions and panelists (topics are subject to change).

Asians and Pacific Islanders with Disabilities of California (APIDC)

Asians and Pacific Islanders with Disabilities of California (APIDC) gives a voice and a face to Asians and Pacific Islanders (APIs) with physical, mental, and developmental disabilities. We seek to help break down the service and cultural barriers faced by APIs with disabilities, to provide knowledge to APIs with disabilities and their families, and to create a community network for empowerment and independence.

Key to our mission is the development of the next generation of leaders—youth with disabilities.
