Event description

Description

Join other like-minded conservative citizens of Tennessee for an hour-long briefing to learn about the issues and legislation that FACT deems most crucial to you as a conservative, pro-family citizen of our great Volunteer State!

Our speakers will be FACT President David Fowler, who served 12 years in the Tennessee state Senate and will be beginning his 24th year working at the state Capitol, and FACT Director of Public Policy Will Burns. These two public policy experts have their finger on the pulse of what is happening relative to issues of marriage, family, life, and religious liberty.

Note to Our In-Person Gate Community Church Audience:
For those attending in person, doors open at 6:30 p.m. CST so that you can sign in and find your seat before the event begins. Because we are live-streaming this event, we will need all the available bandwidth to stream this over the Internet. Please turn your phones and mobile devices to airplane mode or turn them off completely before the live stream begins. Thanks for understanding!

Note to Our Live-Stream Video Audience:
If you cannot attend in person, you can still watch the briefing via live-streamed video on your desktop computer or mobile device. You will receive a follow-up email with information on how you can watch the live stream closer to the event date. We will also make the archived video available within about a week after the briefing for you to watch again and again and share with friends.

FAQs

Will childcare be provided?

Parents, be aware that we will not have childcare available.

What are my driving directions to get to the event?

Take exit 65 for Murfreesboro Rd. off the I-65. The Gate is located south of TN-96 E/Murfreesboro Road on Carothers Parkway in Franklin, TN directly across from the Department of Motor Vehicles Drivers Service Center. Get specific directions to The Gate.

Enter through the main double doors and head to the main sanctuary.

Will food/beverages be served?

Yes, we will have light refreshments.

Do I have to bring my printed ticket to the event?

No. We will have a sign-in table with a list of the names of those who have RSVP'd to the event at The Gate.

Once the State Legislative Issues Briefing video streaming starts, will I be able to get up and use the restroom or leave early?

Yes, but please do so quietly so as not to disturb the program. If you are seated directly in front of a video camera, please be careful not to block that camera's view when you get up from your seat or return to your seat. Thanks!

Can I take pictures or video during the live stream event?

Feel free to take pictures or capture anything through video BEFORE the event begins or AFTER the live streaming ends.

But, please, we would prefer that you don't take pictures or capture video during the live stream because it uses up bandwidth needed to broadcast the stream. The live stream will be archived and made available after the event so that you and your friends can watch it later, so there is no need to videotape.

And we will have a photographer there taking some pictures that we will add to Facebook so you can share later.

Will there be a time for Q&A?

Yes, there will be a time for questions from the audience before the program finishes.

Where can I contact the organizer with any questions?

If you have any more questions, contact us at (615) 591-2090 or email info@factn.org.
