Join us for an all day event of workshops, lecture, and discussions exploring the healing powers of the arts Spring Art Therapy Symposium Featuring a Keynote Presentation by Wayne Ramirez, ATR -R, PRATA HLM

Outline of the day:

April 12, 2019

  • 8-8:45 a.m. Registration
  • 8:45-9 a.m. Welcome/Opening Remarks
  • 9-10:20 a.m. Keynote and Community Art (qualifies for 1.3 Continuing Education Hours)
  • 10:30 a.m.-12 p.m. Various concurrent sessions (see webpage for details)
  • 12-1:30 p.m. Lunch in Mount Mary cafeteria or on your own; book browsing and art exhibition viewing
  • 1:30-4:30 p.m. Various concurrent sessions (see webpage for details)


About the Keynote

Wayne Ramirez, ATR -R, PRATA HLM was the founding president of the Wisconsin Art Therapy Association, the first art therapy organization established in the U.S. in 1969. As a leader in the field of art therapy, Ramirez’s professional career spans 54 years across art therapy, counseling and education. Ramirez holds honorary life memberships to 
the Wisconsin Art Therapy Association and 
the Puerto Rico Art Therapy Association.

Continuing Education Hours

Mount Mary University is an NBCC-Approved Continuing Education Provider (ACEP TM), No. 4529, and may offer NBCC-approved clock hours for events that meet NBCC requirements. The ACEP solely is responsible for all aspects of the program.
