Event description
The Socialist Feminist Convergence is a regional conference that brings together feminists on the left to build power & solidarity.

About this Event

Registration for the SocFem Convergence will close Tuesday, April 16, 2019.

The 2019 Socialist Feminist Convergence, hosted by the Philly DSA Socialist Feminist Working Group and endorsed by the DSA Socialist Feminist Working Group at the national level, aims to bring together leftist feminists from across the country to share skills, deepen relationships, discuss campaigns, and develop a shared strategy for winning anti-racist socialism in our time. Mainstream liberal feminist discourses in popular media have sustained considerable public attention, and these conversations offer an opening for a robust socialist analysis that effectively counters patriarchal domination and builds class solidarity. Join us for a weekend of workshops, panels, live shows, discussions, and Keynote Speaker Tithi Bhattacharya.

The SocFem Convergence will take place at the following dates and times:

Friday, April 26, 5-8pm, Griffin Hall, First Unitarian Church

Address: 2125 Chestnut St, Philadelphia, PA 19103

Saturday, April 27, 9am-5pm, Cavalry United Methodist Church

Address: 801 S 48th St, Philadelphia, PA 19143

Sunday: 10:15am-2:30pm, Griffin Hall, First Unitarian Church
