Event description

Description

The Sherborn Business Association will host its 8th annual Summer Brewfest on Friday, Sept. 6, from 6:30-10:30 p.m. at The Heritage of Sherborn. Sherborn Brewfest features more than 30 vendor tables of local craft brewers, local distillers, wines, hard ciders, and other adult beverages. Live music by popular local band, Group Therapy. Under two huge tents on the lawn of the Heritage of Sherborn, the annual event attracts more than 700 visitors and is the Sherborn Business Association's largest fundraiser. All profits are given to town non-profits through grants to support their activities. Don't miss this huge event.

Below is a list of confirmed participating brewers:

What is Brewfest? This tremendous community event was started in 2012 by Ed Rose, owner of Rose’s Automotive, to fulfill a wish to encourage young people in Sherborn to consider a vocational education. The vocational grant is only one way the annual Brewfest gives back to the community.

All proceeds from the Summer Brewfest go into a nonprofit Community Action Fund from which grants are awarded to various projects that benefit the community. More than 20 local organizations have been funded with past grants which have resulted in projects such as dugouts at Jameson Field, landscape materials for Woodhaven’s central patio, materials for the Sherborn Trails Signage program and a performance at Pine Hill School. To date, over $80,000 in grant money has been awarded to local nonprofit organizations. Any member of the community may submit an application for funding.

Tickets will be available at the cost of $35 in advance and $40 at the door.

Guests attending Brewfest must be 21+.

Your ticket purchase provides you with a souvenir cup for tasting brews at no additional cost. Water and snacks are provided with additional summer-type food options available for purchase separately. The restaurant, Heritage is fully open and under normal operation hours, if you wish to make a reservation for dinner.

If you want to check out some of these great brews ahead of time, stop in Sherborn Wine & Spirits and ask Kathryn Coughlin or her great staff for help.
