Event Details

Please join the Connecticut Association for Reading Research at our annual Research Celebration and Breakfast!  This year's breakfast will begin with a poster session during which literacy research happening at the college and university will be shared over coffee.  

After a hot buffet breakfast, our 2018 Beverly Pearson Memorial Grant Recipient, Nicole Flynn, will share highlights from her research: Phonics in Motion: Promoting First Grade Readers using Multisensory Tools and Decodable Texts

Dr. Rachael Gabriel, Professor at Uconn's Neag School of Education, will also present highlights from her research:  Being on-brand:  Professional Learning in Connecticut Schools

We will also announce and recognize the 2019 Wirth-Santoro awardee for Outstanding Literacy Research, and the 2019 Beverly Pearson Memorial Grant recipient.
