This training is required for all farmers currently participating in the FMNP and any new farmers interested in participating in 2019. New farmers who attend the training must bring copies of the following documents:

  • A notarized deed or lease agreement for the land where you grow your produce; and
  • A letter from your local Cooperative Extension documenting your status as a Georgia Grower by listing the specific types of produce you grow and harvest.

Note: If a letter from the property owner is used to document the lease agreement, the document must be notarized. Proof of land ownership or lease agreement AND letter Cooperative Extension are not required if your farm is "Certified Organic" or "Certified Naturally-Grown", and you submit copies of such certification.

New farmer applications and current farmer information update forms will be mailed to registered farmers prior to the training. All other required forms will be provided for completion on the day of the training.
