Event description
The Pocahontas Reframed: Storytellers Film Festival celebrates indigenous languages, cultures, and societies through the lens of cinema.

About this Event

The 2019 Pocahontas Reframed: Storytellers Film Festival will be November 21-24 at the historic Byrd Theatre in Carytown, in Richmond, Virginia.

The Festival, now in its third year, stems from a passion and desire for indigenous languages, cultures, and societies to thrive, and strives to bring together artists, authors, filmmakers, and actors willing to share, teach, and explain their creativity and history.

The Festival includes Native American-affiliated classic and recently released films that have been official selections of world-renowned festivals including the Sundance Film Festival, the AIFF San Francisco, and the Toronto International Film Festival.

Stay tuned for the 2019 line-up in the coming weeks, and don't miss our special preview events this fall.

Tickets available:

General Admission ($20): Access to all films at the Byrd Theatre (20+) throughout the festival weekend.

VIP ($50): Access to all films at the Byrd Theatre (20+), as well as a special VMFA screening and Q&A with filmmakers Friday November 22, followed by a private reception with filmmakers and festival patrons featuring drinks and hors d'oeuvres.

Thank you for supporting the festival. We cannot wait to celebrate with you in November!
