Celebrate the Opening Day of Oktoberfest at the Reading Liederkranz with Great Brews, a German Dinner and an Award Winning Live Band!

About this Event

This dog-friendly brewfest will feature commercial breweries pouring unlimited samples of beer and hard cider, many brews exclusive to this event. Also, enjoy over 50 different homebrews poured by 40+ local and regional brewers from Bruclear, Berks, Lancaster and Lehigh Valley Homebrew Clubs.

Taste craft beer at its roots and meet brewers BEFORE they go commercial. Beer and cider aficionados will have the opportunity to ask questions about homebrew recipes, processes and more!

What if it rains?

  • The festival will take place rain or shine and will be held under multiple covered pavilions, so all will stay dry and enjoy the festivities!

Is there free parking?

  • Yes, there's free onsite parking.

Is cash or charge accepted for ticket purchases at the door?

  • Yes, both forms of payment will be accepted. Tickets paid by credit card at the door will incur a minimal credit card processing fee.

Do I have to bring my printed ticket to the event?

  • For fastest entry, guests with Early Bird and General Admission tickets should bring a printed copy of their ticket or have the ticket/QR code available on their phone to be scanned.
  • If you're unable to bring your ticket, it can be looked up manually with your ID at Will Call.
  • No need to bring anything for designated drivers or attendees under 21.

Are there ID requirements or an age limit to enter the event?

  • Guests of all ages are welcome to attend. Guests with Early Bird or General Admission tickets must be age 21+ and possess a valid current government issued ID to drink alcoholic beverages. No ID is required for designated drivers and guests under age 21.

Do designated drivers and guests under age 21 need a ticket for entry?

  • Nope.

Are dinner and/or beverages included for designated drivers and guests under age 21?

  • No, but designated drivers and under 21 can purchase food and beverages at the festival. Please keep in mind that the outdoor kitchen can only accept cash. (ATM available onsite)

For Early Bird and General Admission tickets which include dinner, can additional food be purchased?

  • Yes, but the outdoor kitchen can only accept cash. (ATM available onsite)

Are there activities for kids?

  • A playground is onsite. Accompanying adults are responsible for their guests under age 21 and providing supervision.

Can I bring my dog?

  • Yes! We love all dogs but only well-behaved dogs can attend. Accompanying humans are responsible for picking up after their canine guests and ensuring good behavior.

EVENT RULES:

  • Must be 21+ years of age to consume alcoholic beverages and present a valid photo ID at the gate.

  • Homebrew is donated and poured complimentary. No sales of homebrew, whether for money or value, will be allowed at any time during the Festival.

  • Paid tickets include complimentary alcoholic beverages which when consumed may affect perceptions and reactions. Guests shall accept responsibility for their conduct, behavior and actions and absolve the Bruclear Homebrewers, Berks County Homebrewers Lehigh Valley Brewers and Lancaster Brewers organizations and Reading Liederkranz of any and all responsibility for their conduct, behavior and actions both during and following the brewfest.

  • All festival goers will receive a wrist band (different colors for type of entry). The wrist band must be worn and visible at all times, and there is no replacement for lost wrist bands.

  • Event goers or dogs who do not behave responsibly will be required to leave the event.
