Description

What is the Point in Time Count (PIT)?

The PIT is a national, annual census and survey of the homeless population. The information collected during the PIT is used to help assess how we are doing as a community, and as a nation, to address the needs of people experiencing homelessness.

And what are my duties as a volunteer?

As a volunteer you can join a survey team, or sign up to assist with data entry after the PIT is over.

Where and What time can I volunteer?

Volunteer opportunities are available in Duval, Clay and Nassau counties. This event occurs throughout the day, so time frames will vary depending on the county and location within the area. Please utilize the below email address for more detailed information on time slots.

Is training available?

Yes! Our staff will schedule trainings with volunteers which will provide you with an overview of the PIT count and review the survey tool we utilize to collect the required information needed to complete our annual census. We will also review best practices and safety precautions to ensure that our volunteers are comfortable out in the field.

Once you register, you will be contacted by Changing Homelessness via email with specific details regarding location and time and you will be able to let us know your preferences.
