Event description

Description

In the years to come, we are going to need competent, ethical, and excited individuals willing and able to lead our companies, nation, and the world. Part of developing those leaders is providing them with real-life experiences and training to help them navigate the future leadership terrain. Riverside City College and ASRCC are proud to be hosting The Next Generation Leadership Conference on Friday, February 1, 2019. The conference is designed for emerging high school and collegiate student leaders to visit the Riverside City College campus and engage in workshops, presentations, and dialogue pertaining to leadership. Students will attend three (3) 45-50 minute workshop sessions of their choice hosted by college faculty, staff, administration, and community members. Workshops provided in previous years include: "Leadership Lessons from Reality TV" "Four Systems; How to navigate the California College System" "Road to a Promise" and "Lessons in Political Activism" “What do you MEME I have to resolve my conflicts”. There will also be workshops on communication, conflict resolution, ethics, and skill development. At the end of the conference, there will be an opportunity for students to engage in round-table discussions with other student leaders. This an opportunity to hear from peers about the challenges they face and how to make a difference when it’s their time to lead. We are also excited about our KEYNOTE SPEAKER, to be announced on December 1st. You don’t want to miss this exciting conference.

Registration will begin on Thursday, November 1, 2018, through Monday, January 28, 2019, and will be capped at 300 student participants. Registration for the conference is $20 (with processing fees) and includes breakfast, In-N-Out lunch, and a t-shirt.

Riverside Community College District is committed to providing access and reasonable accommodation to all District programs and activities. Accommodations for persons with disabilities may be requested by contacting Megan Bottoms at (951) 222 – 8570 no later than January 28, 2019. Requests received after this date will be honored whenever possible.

We are excited about this conference and hope that you will choose to attend!
