Description

Join us for the 2019 Northeast Indiana Local Food Forum!

All are welcome! Connect with local farmers, food producers, chefs, community leaders, dietitians, healthy food and sustainability advocates and local consumers, as we come together to learn, share ideas and grow our local food community.

Come for the whole day or join us after work for our Social Hour! Mingle at booths with local food vendors and chefs with others who share your curiosity and passion for local food while enjoying local food, beer, wine, kombucha and juices. At 5pm, we'll kick off our After Party with free food samples from your favorite local food restaurants and live music!


Help support our Local Food Producers!

We're contributing $5.00 from EACH paid Forum Registration to help establish a Scholarship Fund for local food producers in our region. Details regarding this fund will be announced at the Local Food Forum.

Event Registration options

Event Registration for the Local Food Forum includes admission to the Social Hour and After Party. Attendees are welcome to come and go during the day as they please. Registration for the Forum is limited and will close once seats are filled.

Registration for the Social Hour and After Party ONLY (admission after 3pm) is offered separately for those that cannot attend during the day, and will remain open to the public the day of the event.

Registration for both Forum Exhibitors and Social Hour & After Party Vendors is also available. Remember that Event Sponsor benefits include a Complimentary Forum Exhibitor OR Social Hour & After Party Vendor booth. For more details visit www.NEIFood.org.

Parking

FREE parking is available in the P2 Parking Garage adjacent to the Walb Union on the Purdue University Fort Wayne campus.

Food & Beverages

We are sourcing the food for this event as locally as possible. If you know a local food producer who may be interested in being an in-kind sponsor for this event, please let us know.

The meal will include a selection of delicious foods prepared with locally sourced ingredients. The menu will include items for those who eat gluten-free, vegetarian or vegan diets.

Scholarships

We welcome the opportunity to provide scholarships to cover the cost of Forum registration thanks to the generosity of our Event Sponsors. Please reach out to us to request a scholarship.

Student & Senior Discount Tickets

We offer special discounted tickets for both Students attending K-12 schools, colleges and universities, and Seniors age 65 and above.

1) How can I contact the organizer with any questions?

2) What's the refund policy?

Refunds will be available through Eventbrite up until 7 days prior to the start of the Local Food Forum.

3) Do I have to bring my printed ticket to the event?

Please bring your printed ticket or use the Eventbrite app, so we can verify your registration, if needed.

4) Can I update my registration information?

Yes, you can update your registration information up until 48 hours prior to the start of the Local Food Forum.

5) What is the difference between a daytime Forum Exhibitor and a Social Hour Vendor?

Options to register as a Forum Exhibitor or Social Hour & After Party Vendor, are available separately, so you can choose which one works best for your business or organization. Interested businesses and organizations are encouraged to Register as EITHER a Forum Exhibitor OR a Social Hour & After Party Vendor, based on their preference.

Forum Exhibitors (9am- 2pm) Designed for local businesses and organizations who want to network and share information with Forum attendees. This includes local food producers, community groups, event sponsors, and anyone who provides services or goods to local growers and consumers. No sampling of food products will be permitted during this time.

Forum Exhibitor Registration includes:

  • Booth during Local Food Forum from 9am - 2pm.

  • Booth Set-up begins at 8am and all Forum Exhibitor booths must be torn down by 2:30pm, unless also registered as a Social Hour Vendor.

  • Forum Registration for ONE attendee including local food lunch. Additional Exhibitor staff must register separately.

Social Hour & After Party Vendors (3pm - 7pm) Designed for local food businesses, food producers, restaurants, local breweries, wineries and distilleries who are looking to connect with consumers, food buyers and others from across the region who are into local food. A Cash Bar will be available for those interested in purchasing locally produced beers, wines, kombuchas and juices. Free coffee and iced tea will also be served.

  • Social Hour from 3pm - 5pm will encourage Forum attendees and guests arriving late afternoon to mingle at vendor booths while they enjoy light refreshments. Food may be sampled during this period, if desired.

  • After Party will kick-off at 5pm and run until 7pm. During this celebration guests will interact with their favorite local food chefs, bakers, producers, brewers, winemakers and distillers and enjoy samples of their latest local food products and creations - all while enjoying live music.

Social Hour & After Party Vendor Registration includes:

  • Booth during Social Hour & After Party from 3pm - 7pm.

  • Booth Set-up begins at 2pm and all booths must be torn down by 7:30pm.

  • Social Hour & After Party Registration for ONE attendee. Additional Social Hour & After Party Vendor staff will be granted FREE admission, but must sign-in at the event to receive a name badge.

The Northeast Indiana Local Food Network retains the right to refuse any exhibitor or vendor who, in the opinion of our Board of Directors, does not align with the mission of our organization. All exhibitors and vendors will be asked to sign a basic vendor agreement that will be available by late January 2019.

We need to stress that NO PRODUCTS CONTAINING ALCOHOL may be sampled at Vendor booths, as Purdue University only permits the designated bartender for the event to serve alcoholic beverages.

Due to Purdue University rules, NO EXHIBITORS OR VENDORS are allowed to SELL any products during the Local Food Forum or Social Hour. However, Social Hour Vendors are welcome to sample products and share information on where products may be purchased.

6) What equipment is provided with each booth?

Each booth includes one 6 foot table and two chairs. Access to electricity is limited and is not guaranteed.

7) Do you offer a Group Registration discount?
