Economic Strategies Development Corporation (ESDC) presents its tenth annual Mole de Mayo Festival, the only outdoor mole cook‐off event celebrating Latino culture and Mexican cuisine. The festival is set to take place on 18th St. and Ashland Ave. from May 24-26, 2019 in the rich and diverse neighborhood of Pilsen on the Lower West Side of Chicago. In honor of the of its 10th Anniversary, Mole de Mayo celebrates and supports the talents and contributions of women.
The festival hours are from Noon to 10 p.m. on Friday, May 24, Noon to 10 p.m. on Saturday, May 25, and Noon to 9 p.m. on Sunday, May 26. About Mole de Mayo Fest
Since 2009, Mole de Mayo strives to deliver a culturally dynamic and gastronomic outdoor festival that propels a short and long-term range of economic and social benefits to Chicago’s historic Pilsen neighborhood. Most recently, Pilsen was named by Forbes magazine as one of the “12 Coolest Neighborhoods Around the World.” Mole de Mayo is managed and produced by local non-profit ESDC.
Non-profit, Economic Strategies Development Corporation (ESDC), formerly known as Eighteenth Street Development Corporation has served the Pilsen community on the Lower West Side of Chicago since 1976 by providing technical and financial support, assistance with housing-related issues, and resources for historic preservation to local and Industrial Corridor businesses.
