2019 Summit & Awards Luncheon

This event brings together a variety of civic engagement stakeholders to celebrate good work happening across the state and consider ways of building on it for greater impact. Minnesota Supreme Court Justice Natalie Hudson will give a keynote address on "Seeing Differently Together: Pluralism, Interdependence, and Our Democracy." Both individuals and campus teams are invited to register. Expect to hear inspiring stories of community change, discuss strategies, and reflect with a wide array of campus- and community-based professionals and student leaders.

Date: April 10, 2019, 11:30 a.m.-3:30 p.m. (Registration starts at 11 a.m.)

Location: St. Catherine University, Coeur de Catherine Rauenhorst Ballroom, 2004 Randolph Ave, Saint Paul, MN 55015.

Meals: Lunch will be provided. Please note any dietary restrictions in your registration form.

Other notes: There will be a lactation room available and a non-gendered restroom are available. ASL interpretation will be available.

  • Presentation of the 2019 Presidents' Student Leadership Awards, Community Partner Awards, and Civic Engagement Steward Awards, as well as the national Campus Compact Newman Civic Fellows Awards

  • "This I Believe" presentations by volunteers among the award recipients.

  • "Seeing Differently Together: Pluralism, Interdependence, and Our Democracy" with featured speaker: Natalie Hudson, Minnesota Supreme Court Justice, whose talk will lead participants into focused conversation at their tables

2:15 p.m. Digging In: Choose a Conversation

  • Roundtable Discussions with Award Recipients

  • The "Community College Commitment" launch workshop with Verdis Robinson, Director for Community College Engagement, national Campus Compact

3:30 p.m. Adjourn

Registration: Early bird rates are available through February 23, 2019. Registration closes at 5:00 p.m. on March 27, 2019, unless the event sells out earlier. Refunds are available until April 3, 2019.
