At the Conference:

This year we'll be taking an adjusted approach to our sessions, incorporating topical breakouts that focus on key issues and helpful pointers as we go about our day-to-day operations in the ABWE family. These breakouts will follow worship and devotions on Tuesday and Wednesday morning. We look forward to these times of intentional conversations, collaboration, and learning.

Tuesday:

Then examine approaches and explore methods to share the gospel effectively in an Honor/Shame society.

In this session, the Mobilization team shares their strategy for engaging the current generation and how to partner effectively with you, the missionary.

  • How to Deal with Burnout | Presented by Brad Winkler and Curt Jones - You’re finding it harder to get up and go to work in the morning. Your work used to be a source of joy and blessing. There was a time when you looked forward to working with the people you would encounter that day, but now you are tired, and it takes a lot of effort just to get out of bed. Questions run through your mind: “What’s wrong with me? Why am I so worn out? Why don’t I seem to care more? What can I do about it?” In this session we will discuss how to recognize burnout, how burn out affects missionaries, and how we can deal with it.
