Description

SWWC Service Cooperative enthusiastically invites you to attend our first annual Mental Health Conference. This full-day training will provide educational opportunities related to trauma-informed practice, self-care, mental health resources, mandated reporting and more. The 2019 Mental Health Conference is appropriate for all professionals working with children who are interested in obtaining additional skills in order to provide outstanding services to our youth.

Keynote: Creating a Trauma-Sensitive Approach (Dr. Myra Heckenlaible-Gotto, EdD) - 9:00-11:45

There will be 2 tracks to choose from:

1. Paraprofessional Track

*Session 1: Supporting Student's Mental Health Needs - 12:30- 2:15

*Session 3: Acting out Students: Paraprofessionals Working with Students with Mental Health - 2:15-3:30

2. Teacher/Certified Staff Track

*Session 2: Mandated Reporter Training - 12:30-2:15

*Session 4: Trauma Informed Care - 2:15-3:30
