Description
Please join us as educators from New England & Pennsylvania meet to learn, share, and problem solve how they are transforming their learning communities to provide the "Ideal Learning Experience" for all learners.
Our summer summit will highlight the work of learners, facilitators and leaders who have been designing and transforming their learning systems. We will engage and leverage the experiences of our summit participants in a variety of sessions that help support all levels of implementation. Summit participants will expand their knowledge, strategies, processes, resources, tools and professional network.
Bea McGarvey, author of "Inevitable, Mass Customized Learning, Learning in the Age of Empowerment" and "Inevitable Too!: The Total Leader Embraces Mass Customized Learning" will join us as our keynote speaker. Bea will also be available to share new asynchronous learning paths aligned with the 8 interdependent components of MCL including important paths on Quality Instruction & Skilled Leadership. Participants will engage in conversations about how they can build capacity among their staff and school leaders using a variety of flexible, training opportunities.
There will be special sessions devoted to using learner management software like Empower and Jumprope. Coaching & consulting time will also be scheduled for teams to assess, collaborate and plan for the upcoming school year. All participants will be provided with a printed copy of MCCL's new Complex Reasoning Learning Progressions designed by MCCL Teachers/Learning Facilitators and based on Dr. Debra Pickerings work with our MCCL Cohort.
