2019 Louisiana Highland Games - Day 1 - General Games

You are cordially invited to compete at The Louisiana Highland Games hosted by TCAA. We will host Amateur, Men's Open, Masters & Women's Open. The athletic competitions will all be held on Saturday March 30. This is a one day event and will contest 7 events: Braemar, Open Stone, Heavy and Light Weight for Distance, Cabers, sheaf & Weight Over Bar


2019 Louisiana Highland Games - Day 2 -

Armed Forces Team Highlander Challenge - Open to Active Duty, Reserves, National Guard, VETERANS and VETERAN FAMILY MEMBERS of All branches.

Military, you are cordially invited to compete at The Louisiana Highland Games hosted by TCAA. We will host . The athletic competitions will all be held on Sunday March 31. This is a one day event and will contest 6 events: Braemar, LWFD, WOB, Keg Toss, Frame Deadlift, Tug-o-war & caber (depending on athelete skill level)

Entry fee is $35. Entries are on a first come, first serve basis and class sizes will be limited to maximum 12 for the general games and 8 athelete team limit for Deadline for entry is March 22, 2019. Game day registrations are accepted at the AD's discretion.

***Veterans who wish to compete on both days need only pay a single $35 fee.

Get your entries in early.

NASGA/TCAA rules apply;

All classes will begin promptly at 10AM. All competitors must check-in at judge’s table to sign in no later than 9:30AM. Assistance with set up begins Friday all day. It is at the AD’s discretion to allow late shows to compete. All competitors must sign in and complete a waiver before the competition begins. At the AD’s discretion, competitors may be moved between classes to fill open slots or to make competition more competitive. All athletes will be provided drinks and snacks. It will be a full day of competition so be sure to bring along extra food and electrolytes to get you through the day.

Athletic Rules

1. All classes MUST wear a kilt and tall socks. Kilts must be traditional length and have no external pockets.

2. All Decisions of the Judges and Athletic Director are final. NASGA/RMSA rules will be used for judging.

3. Athletes will be expected to conduct themselves in a professional and courteous manner, maintaining a friendly and respectful attitude toward the public, officials and other competitors.

Reminder: There are kids in the audience, cursing will be kept to a level the audience cannot hear.

4. Scoring for the competition will be 1 point for 1st place, 2 points for 2nd and so on through number of competitors. Athlete with the lowest score wins the event. Scoring for the Armed forces will be a cumlative total of all events results.

REFUND POLICY: THERE ARE NO REFUNDS. ATHLETE COUNT DICTATES A CERTAIN PREPATORY COST AND CANNOT BE REFUNDED.
