Event description

Description

Join us as we honor the service of Mrs. Steffy and celebrate her 15 years of loving support to our St. Thomas students, families and staff!

Our celebration will include four course dinner (entree selection made with ticket purchase), cash bar, presentation by nationally known guest speaker Joseph Pearce, and silent auction fun.

Your ticket purchase is helping support families seeking a Catholic Education for their children at St. Thomas School. An additional contribution will make it possible for our community to serve as many Catholic families as possible. Thank you!

Our Guest Speaker: Joseph Pearce will present A Literary Feast for the Catholic Mind”

This will be an evening’s tour through the world’s rich deposit of stories directing the reader back to The Story—The Story of Salvation History—because this is what great literature does. Joseph Pearce will be our joyful guide on this brief pilgrimage through the literature every Catholic should know. Learn about everything from the Greek epics to Shakespeare’s plays to Tolkien’s famous trilogy, and along the way visiting Dante’s Italy, Cervantes’s Spain, Dostoyevsky’s Russia, and Jane Austen’s England.

[Joseph Pearce is the nationally known author of over twenty books including Tolkien: Man and Myth, In Quest of Shakespeare, Literary Converts, & biographies of G.K. Chesterton, C.S. Lewis, and Hilaire Belloc. He is Director of the Center for Faith & Culture and Writer in Residence at Aquinas College, Nashville, TN.]
