Are there ID requirements or an age limit to enter the event?

To provide all conference attendees optimal learning environments, children under the age of 16 years are not permitted into the education sessions or the Exhibitor area**. Children, ages 16 years and older, must be registered for the conference and must be accompanied by an adult for admission. Childcare is not available at the Alumni Center.

**Exceptions will be made for nursing mothers attending educational sessions.


Will there be a lactation room?

Yes.


Will there be a vegetarian option at meals?

Yes, there will be a vegetarian option at both breakfast and lunch. Furthermore, all items on the buffet line will be marked with the major food allergens.


What are my transport/parking options getting to the event?

Guests at the Holiday Inn receive complimentary parking at the hotel, which is located directly across the street from the K-State Alumni Center. All other conference attendees may park in the reserved stalls surrounding the Alumni Center on the east (E1) and west (E16) or at the Kansas State University Parking Garage, 706 N. 17th Street, for free. Those parking in the garage will receive a parking pass at the conference registration table to present when exiting the garage at the end of the day.

What is the refund policy?

Partial refunds for KSAND sponsored meetings shall be permitted for extenuating circumstances. Refunds for an emergency crisis will be determined on a case-by-case basis.

Procedure

  • All requests for refunds MUST be submitted in writing via postal mail or email. These requests are to be mailed to the Executive Director and RECEIVED no later than midnight CST by the dates listed below. Contact information for the central office is published on the website. Telephone requests and faxes CANNOT be honored.

  • Refunds will be issued approximately 4-6 weeks after the meeting.

  • A minimum $25.00 fee will be charged for all refunds except for an emergency crisis.

  • Cancellation of lodging is the responsibility of the attendee.

  • Written requests for refunds will be processed as follows:

Receipt date in advance of event - Eligible Refund Less Administrative Fee
26 days - 75% less + $25 Admin. Fee
19 days - 50% less + $25 Admin. Fee
Less than 19 days - Non-refundable

  • Fees are non-refundable if received less than 19 days in advance of event unless for emergency crisis.

  • An advance phone call is requested for an emergency crisis. Under these circumstances, a minimum of 50% refund is granted. The refund amount is determined on a case by case basis. A written request within 21 days after the meeting date is required for this refund.
