Please join the Victim Services Division of the Fairfax County Police Department for our 13th annual K9 Krawl 5K. This family friendly event is a FREE walk to bring awareness to the link between Domestic Violence and Animal Cruelty.

October is National Domestic Violence Awareness Month and this free event is a great way for you and your pup to come out and show support for victims of domestic violence and their pets. Research tells us that where there is violence in the home, it is not only against humans, but to the companion animals as well. Abusers will often use the family pet as a means to control and manipulate their partner.

Activities include:

  • Pet Costume Contest--show us what you got!

  • Face Painting

  • Resource Tables

  • Goodies &Treats

  • Dog Adoption by Fairfax County Animal Shelter

  • Hot Cocoa/Coffee Bar--proceeds go to help child victims of domestic violence

FREE Raffle at the end of the walk!

What are my transportation/parking options for getting to and from the event?

PARKING: parking is available at the Fairfax County Government Center. Please park there and walk across the street to the event. We will have officers there to assist in getting you across safely.
