Description

The third annual Indy VegFest Presented by Eskenazi Health will be on Saturday, March 30, 2019 from 1 pm to 6 pm [early access hour 11 am - 1 pm] at the Biltwell Event Center in Downtown Indianapolis.

Indy VegFest is FREE and open to ALL.

FAQs

Are there ID or minimum age requirements to enter the event?

All ages are welcomed! We will be serving alcoholic beverages at the bar on the second floor, so the only age-restricted section will be the area immediately surrounding the bar.


What are my transportation/parking options for getting to and from the event?

There is ample FREE parking at the Biltwell! There is a parking lot behind the Biltwell, and there is additional free parking at Riley Park and the Edison School for the Arts across the street.
Carpooling and ride-sharing is strongly encouraged!
The closest IndyGo bus stop is at the corner of White River Parkway and Washington St, about a 15 minute walk from The Biltwell.

What can I bring into the event?

We recommend bringing a reusable tote for shopping, and a reusable water bottle that can be filled with tap water at the bar for free. Boxed Water and other beverages will be available for purchase.


What should I leave at home?

Please leave all weapons at home. Indy VegFest is an indoor event, and cannot accommodate companion animals, but service animals are welcomed. No outside food or drinks are permitted, with the exception of reusable water bottles.


Do I have to bring my printed ticket to the event?

We suggest pulling a digital copy up on your phone.
You do not need a FREE ticket to attend our event from 1 pm to 6 pm. The event is open to the public. You do need a FREE ticket to be eligible to win a goodie bag (randomly given to every 25th person through the door, while supplies last).

Is the venue wheelchair accessible?

Yes, The Biltwell Event Center is wheelchair accessible and has elevators.

Will there be a place to breastfeed and change diapers?

Yes, we will be providing a family/lactation room at Indy VegFest!
This will be a private room that can be used for breastfeeding and changing diapers. It will be equipped with extra storage bottles and bags, and extra breast pads. All breastfeeding equipment and accessories are provided by Black Mama Vegan. Aimbriel Lasley, aka Black Mama Vegan, provides lactation consulting and breastfeeding classes, as well as courses on different aspects of veganism. Follow Black Mama Vegan on Facebook and Instagram (@black_mamavegan) to stay up-to-date on all of her offerings.


What is the policy on smoking and vaping at Indy VegFest?

In accordance with Indianapolis law, smoking and vaping is not permitted inside The Biltwell, or within 8 feet of any entrances. Indy VegFest strives to promote and uphold a culture of health and wellness at our events, therefore, smoking and vaping are not permitted at all on the grounds of The Biltwell, including the parking lot and rooftop deck, during the event hours. Thank you for respecting this policy.
