Event description

Description

As Oklahoma becomes increasingly diverse, it is imperative for organizations to understand the changing demographics and the impact they will have on your business. Join us at the 2019 Inclusion & Diversity Summit as we advance our organizations—bringing them to the forefront of an inclusive work environment.

The 2019 Inclusion & Diversity Summit will feature experts from around the city, state and region—empowering individuals and businesses to take what we’ve learned about inclusion and diversity and begin integrating this information into our organizations. The Summit will feature two keynote speakers, along with breakout sessions and interactive discussions. These experts will share their knowledge, best practices and insights on issues ranging from corporate culture, to supplier diversity, to ROI.

This full-day Summit provides an opportunity to explore new ways to lead widespread transformation by collaborating with other inclusion and diversity leaders. Learn how to design inclusion and diversity programs using best practices, and discover new strategies to further the mission of incorporating inclusion and diversity in the workplace.

At the conclusion of the event, participants will:

  • Better understand and articulate the business case for inclusion and diversity

  • Glean insight and share best practices for inclusion and diversity excellence

  • Receive tangible action steps for incorporating inclusion and diversity into workplace culture and team dynamics

  • Understand the implications around recruitment, hiring and retention

  • Understand how inclusion and diversity relates to customers, suppliers and contractors

KEYNOTE PRESENTATIONS
"The Power of Inclusion!" with LaTricia Hill-Chandler
LaTricia serves as the primary subject matter expert and architect of Arvest’s diversity and inclusion and cross-cultural relations plans and programs. Her keynote presentation will address how an enterprise can truly thrive when they focus on inclusion in the workplace.

An inspiring message from Gerry Fernandez
Gerry has spent decades educating and advocating for the business benefits of cultural diversity and inclusion in his industry. His keynote will provide perspective on building cultural intelligence that raises the top-line, improves the bottom-line, and builds brands’ cultural authenticity.

BREAKOUT SESSION TRACKS
The Summit will include a morning, mid-morning and afternoon breakout session. We have a variety of topics to cover, some targeted at different skillsets and industries, so we’ve designed a multitrack conference. It is our hope that attendees will get the most out of each presentation by attending a breakout session relevant to them.

You will select one of four tracks at the time of registration.

SHRM ACCREDITATION
Schnake Turnbo Frank is recognized by SHRM to offer seven Professional Development Credits (PDCs) for the SHRM-CPSM or SHRM-SCPSM.
