Tools for Establishing a Culture of Health Literate Care (1:30 p.m. - 3:30 p.m.): This training program introduces materials developed by a PA-HLC working group from the Pittsburgh metro area. This set of resources integrates the Ten Attributes of a Health Literate Organization to assist with conducting organizational assessments for health literacy and introducing front-line staff to the principles of health literacy.
Target audience: professionals who strive to be health literacy champions in their organizations, have oversight over a cohort of frontline staff, and seek additional tools to advance a culture of health literate care. Potential attendee roles may include administrators and educators such as Nurse Educators, Nurse Managers, or Practice Managers.
Join the Pennsylvania Health Literacy Coalition for a set of trainings focused on health literacy topics. In addition to the training described above, the following training sessions are available. Participants may selectively attend the training(s) of interest to them.
